I think food media today is sort of in dire straits. Ironically enough, there is more food content out there to consume than ever before, but very little that actually resonates– to me at least.
So much of what we see on TV is about competitions with the most off-the-wall rules and wacky challenges, and much of what we see online is all about making the most gorgeous, fabulous, intricate, expensive thing that looks amazing on camera.
I’m all about easy, achievable recipes, and taking one or two small extra steps to make something special. I want you to see one of my videos and think, “Wow, I can totally do that!” I believe that simple food is okay, and that everyone, regardless of their skill level can find joy, fun and accomplishment in cooking.
I hope that that comes across in my videos, and I’m so excited to have another medium to share more recipes, and get to know this incredible community a little better.
